Biography

This three-year full-time MA degree program in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology is composed of four key elements: transpersonal and contemplative orientation; theoretical, experiential and clinical training courses; the counseling experiential; and the internship.

Grounded in nature’s ability to nurture spirituality and human wholeness, the wilderness therapy program offers theoretical and practical experience in counseling psychology, adventure therapy, ecopsychology, ecology, outdoor skills and leadership.

Also offered is a MA in Environmental Leadership: a two-year, 39-credit residential program that prepares the next generation of innovative thinkers and activists to lead organizational and community transformation toward an environmentally just and sustainable society. In the second year, students apply their leadership skills to a collaborative project within an organizational or community setting. Most classes are scheduled to accommodate working students.
