Position Overview

We are looking for an energetic, career-minded technical project manager to join us on a full-time basis in our San Rafael or Emeryville office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The work that this position entails is varied and includes regulatory permitting (2081 CESA permitting, Section 7 and Section 10 FESA permitting, special-status species surveys, habitat assessments, environmental compliance, mitigation and conservation planning, and project management. Candidates with documented experience in these areas will be prioritized.
  • We are looking for someone who has previous consulting experience in California with particular emphasis on developing innovative and strategic solutions to complex environmental challenges.
  • This position will provide the successful candidate opportunities to lead negotiations, develop comprehensive strategies, and oversee projects from conception to conclusion.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in biology, ecology, or related field
  • Sound technical knowledge in California taxa
  • Ability to work both independently and with a small team
  • Demonstrable technical writing ability
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Previous consulting experience
  • Field experience including habitat evaluation
  • Experience in wildlife species permitting
  • Detail-oriented and resourceful
