Position Overview

The Kroger Co. is announcing a Leader of Sustainability job opportunity! The Leader of Sustainability will lead the development and execution of a strategy to improve the company’s performance as a responsible and sustainable business.  

Responsibilities

• The Leader will measure and report progress against established company-wide sustainability goals, and set new targets as appropriate.
• The Leader will champion initiatives and improvements that ensure the company’s sustainability efforts achieve results, enhance the communities in which we operate, and engage our associates, customers and other key stakeholders. 
• The position will involve serving as the internal subject matter expert on sustainability, and advising senior leaders on current and emerging trends, topics and issues that affect the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications for the position include having 8-10 years of experience in sustainability strategy, execution and project management;
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; and
• Technical knowledge of sustainability methodologies and practices.
