Position Overview

Solar is still a young enough market that consumers have questions prior to committing to solar. The SunPower Solar Advisor Team acts as the first-touch for our sales process by welcoming these inquiries, answering questions and building excitement in callers interest in going solar. As the first point of contact for SunPower prospects, the Solar Advisor Team qualifies leads over the phone and schedules qualified leads for consultations with our sales team.

We are seeking an experienced pre-sales leader to oversee and support our Solar Advisor Team. The Solar Advisor Supervisor will monitor pre-sales metrics and call center metrics and manage the entire pre-sales administration process. They will collaborate with various professionals and customers, so it’s essential that they have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working in a team environment. They should also be able to lead and motivate the pre-sales team to achieve specific goals. Ultimately, the Solar Advisor Supervisor should be able to build a high performance pre-sales team to ensure customer satisfaction and help drive sales.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Solar Advisor team
  • Set and track targets (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for your team
  • Work with Solar Advisors to Maintains high end-customer satisfaction by guiding quality prospects through the sales channel and process
  • Ensure all Solar Advisors are following the proper lead qualification guidelines when converting a lead to an appointment
  • Act as the internal five9 call center administrator for the Solar Advisor team
  • Set and track sales targets for your team
  • Determine and implement schedules that maximize performance
  • Suggest and implement improvements in the pre-sales process
  • Coordinate with other channels to provide support needed: RVAR, SPD, TPS, Commercial
  • Report on pre-sales metrics and suggest improvements
  • Continue to work toward improving reach rates and customer engagement through research, data analysis, and five9 dialing functionality
  • Build an open-communication environment for your team
  • Liaise with Marketing departments to ensure brand consistency and increase consultations

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience
  • OR equivalent combination of education and years of related experience

Requirements:

  • Hands on experience with CRM software and MS Excel, preferably SalesForce (CRM)
  • Hands on experience with a contact center software, preferably five9
  • Ability to prioritize projects and initiatives to help drive team’s performance
  • Meet and exceed quotas and service level agreements while working in a fast paced environment
  • Develop into a subject matter expert on the solar industry and on selling SunPower products
  • Willingness to be available and work outside of standard business hours when escalations or issues arise with your team, customers, or IT related emergencies
  • Proven work experience as leader, supervisor, or manager
  • In-depth understanding of the pre-sales administration process
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Numerical abilities and problem-solving attitude
