~ H&H Solar Energy Services, located in Madison, Wisconsin, installs top quality Solar Electric (PV) energy systems. Our installers are all licensed electricians with advanced solar-specific training and experience, allowing a seamless integration into existing electrical infrastructure. ~

The Opportunity

H&H Solar Energy Services is seeking a Solar Project Manager. This is an opportunity to grow with an expanding company. You will have the satisfaction of using your skills and experience to develop this growing field.

You will be responsible for successfully managing the construction process of solar PV projects. Travel to job sites will be necessary, but overnight travel is minimal.

Selected Responsibilities

  • Management of field operations including the execution of subcontracts and component procurement.
  • Develops strong client, vendor, and subcontractor relationships.
  • Coordinating with Utilities and other Permitting agencies.
  • Ensuring job progress by visiting jobsites and interacting with subcontractors, customers, foremen, and crews.
  • Collaborates and with project developers and designers to maintain a healthy project pipeline.
  • Utilizes preconstruction support teams and prefabrication resources that are available.
  • Embraces a workplace environment where integrity, safety and continuous process improvement is valued.
  • Develops project budgets, maintaining “cost-to-complete” forecasts and adhering to schedules.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Minimum three (3) years of project management experience in the commercial and utility-scale solar PV field is required, including direct experience managing projects in excess of 5 Megawatts.
  • Experience managing all aspects of Solar Projects including Civil (Roads, Grading, Fencing, Site Security).
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management (or related field), engineering or electrical contracting experience is a plus.
  • NABCEP Installer and OSHA 10 Certifications preferred.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to provide timely, accurate responses when functioning in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • Has the ability to identify and correct unsafe job site conditions and/or practices.
  • Candidate must be detail-oriented, well organized, and have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong aptitude for quality and efficiency is required.
  • Proficient at Microsoft applications including Office, Excel, and Project.
  • Knowledge of Accubid Estimating Software. (or other)
  • Knowledge of National Electric Code is desired.
