~ Seacamp is non-profit, residential, environmental educational organization offering marine science programs for 10-17 year-old students in a summer camp setting and to visiting elementary, middle, secondary, college, and adult groups throughout the school year. ~

Seacamp is currently hiring for Science Instructors. Seacamp is located in Big Pine Key, Florida, in the beautiful Florida Keys. We are currently looking for Instructors for our Summer 2018 season.

Responsibilities

Activities:

  • Staff lead interpretive programs in tropical marine science for campers/visiting schools; and
  • Participate in hospitality services required to run a residential facility. 

Extensive training includes:

  • Science seminars;
  • American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguarding, Oxygen Administration, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer;
  • Skin diving leadership and Rescue Diver (for currently certified SCUBA divers only, during our summer program);
  • Seamanship and boat handling;
  • Camp life; and
  • Teaching techniques. 

Compensation: Salary/Stipend, housing, meals when participants are in residence, extensive physical and academic training, various American Red Cross certifications, workers' compensation insurance, and use of recreational equipment during time off.
