Position Overview

GIEIM is seeking a full-time Project Staff member in the greater Tacoma/Seattle, Washington region to assist in the completion of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) and other due diligence reports and services. Candidates must have a minimum of  5 years of experience in performing Phase I ESAs, Transaction Screen Assessments, and the like. 

Additionally, candidates must have the ability to work closely with senior staff in the development of due diligence presentations for GIEIM, and possess strong presentation and people skills, which will include both face-to-face interaction and telephone conversation.

Responsibilities

  • Complete and finalize specific project tasks according to deadlines and GIEIM’s high quality standards
  • Project research (historical, analytical, etc.)
  • Communication with client and subject site representatives
  • Conducting appropriate site reconnaissance
  • Data compilation and organization
  • Report authoring
  • Preparation of quality supporting documents (site figures, appendices, etc.)
  • Other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager associated with report deliverable schedule  and plan
  • Preparation of customized presentation materials for various client needs
  • Client interfacing and development of relationships with GIEIM clientele
  • Phone and in-person client support and relationship development
  • Review of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments
  • Conducting site reconnaissance, including sampling activities, if necessary
  • Technical report authoring
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clientele throughout the greater Tacoma/Seattle region

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree from accredited university in biological/physical sciences or engineering discipline
  • 5 years relevant experience in environmental consulting

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills (internal and external)
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time
  • Exceptional writing skills
  • Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
