Position Overview

If you’re the organized champion for all things at home and work, and you’re a natural “helper”, this may be your perfect job. The Project Coordinator is the Yoda of all project installations. You will create an exceptional customer experience while you support all facets of the solar project. You’ll be rocking multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and professional customer support - you’re the primary customer advocate!
  • Provide continuous customer interactions throughout all phases of the project
  • Review contracts for accuracy - nobody likes inaccurate contracts
  • Prepare and submit all documents and permits required to support the project
  • Ensure timely collection of supporting documents
  • Work and communicate with Electricians, Installers, and Service Department
  • Maintain relationships with utility companies, REP’s, municipalities, and HOA’s
  • Maintain customer job packets
  • Update project management software with appropriate status
  • Manage any exceptions to the process
  • Ensure timely achievement of permission to operate
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Prepare meeting agendas and supporting documents
  • Prepare and manage department reports
  • Reconcile and submit expense reports
  • Research and book travel arrangements
  • Research and negotiate terms from vendors
  • Research and establish relationships with new municipalities
  • Liaise with other operations department members to handle requests and queries
  • Effectively coordinate, communicate, and follow up with other departments
  • Follow all office policies and procedures
  • Maintain positive work environment - we’re working hard, but we like it.

Qualifications

Requirements: Education, Experience, Certifications, And Other Skills

Note: It’s not required that you’ve worked in a solar business; however, experience in a construction or engineering company is a plus. You must be confident and comfortable with heavy phone interaction with external customers - and they’re going to love and appreciate you.

  • Must be a motivated team player with a positive attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, Excel), QuickBooks, and Salesforce
  • 4-year BA or equivalent work experience in project coordinating
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Strong work ethic and grit!

Working Conditions And Physical Requirements (the Formal Stuff)

  • Must be able to lift objects upwards of 25 lbs.
  • Able to work outdoors, in confined spaces, and in a warehouse
  • Able to climb a 6ft. ladder
