CALSTART is a national organization with multiple offices in several states. We believe now is our time and we are planning for growth. If you want a career where you are making a real impact and benefiting both society and the environment, you should consider coming to work for CALSTART.

Position Overview

CALSTART has an immediate opening for a highly-motivated person to join our team as the Regional Director of our Northeast (NE) operations. This person will oversee CALSTART’s work in the NE and play a key role in managing complex technology projects, developing business opportunities, supporting member companies and representing CALSTART in the Northeast region.

This is an exciting time for building the clean transportation technology industry and in doing so creating new jobs, preventing climate change, and improving air quality. CALSTART currently operates significant programs related to clean truck and buses, as well as electric vehicle infrastructure in the region.

Note: Based in CALSTART’s Brooklyn, New York office, the new NE Regional Director will have a tremendous opportunity to work with our industry and government partners to develop and lead new initiatives, and have a major impact in the region.

From its New York office, CALSTART is currently managing programs to provide clean truck and bus purchases and to grow the market for electric vehicles by getting more employers to offer charging at the workplace. The organization sees significant opportunities to work with its member companies and partners in the Northeast to expand the use of cleaner and lower carbon cars, trucks, buses, and fuels. CALSTART’s current NE Regional Director, who opened the Brooklyn office and partnered with NYSERDA to develop these programs, is moving to California for family reasons and will continue to be part of the CALSTART team.

One of the main activities the successful candidate will undertake is managing and expanding the nationally-recognized New York Truck Voucher Incentive Program (NYT-VIP), funded by NYSERDA.
