About the Department:

The Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources has a faculty with a wide variety of strengths in forestry and natural resources management, policy, and economics, environmental technology, fisheries and wildlife, tree improvement, silviculture, forest biotechnology, international forestry, biodiversity, conservation and restoration ecology, and geographic information systems. The Department offers undergraduate, masters and doctoral degrees, and has a strong commitment to developing partnerships with communities.

Faculty, staff, and students work together with business, industry, government, community groups, and non-government organizations to address a wide range of challenges facing our state and the world. Position Overview

NC State is currently seeking a Lecturer of Renewable Energy.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as curriculum coordinator and teach courses in online, undergraduate Renewable Energy Assessment minor and certificate and developing online, graduate Renewable Energy Assessment and Development certificate.
  • Coordinate renewable energy undergraduate and graduate curricula and certificates.
  • Adapt renewable energy courses to the graduate level.
  • Teach three online courses.
  • Manage certificate outreach.
  • Collaborate with Forestry and Environmental Resources and Environmental Assessment faculty to improve and grow the renewable energy program.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in renewable energy systems and management or related areas.
  • Experience with online course development and delivery in renewable energy. Work experience in wind energy and site maintenance and storage.
  • Experience with certificate development and coordination.

Compensation: $45,000 to $55,000 commensurate with experience.
