Position Overview

E3 ECOWORKS is looking for an individual to fill our Home Performance Field Technician and Crew Leader position - someone who is passionate about sustainability and has a desire to make a positive impact on the community through improving the performance of residential buildings.

You will be working alongside others who are passionate about the environment and are interested in learning about and implementing innovative strategies and technologies that improve the performance of residential buildings. 

This position includes working with a small enthusiastic field team to perform weatherization and home performance work on residential buildings as assigned, including but not limited to: caulking, weather stripping, and installation of insulation and sealed crawlspaces systems.

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Help plan, prioritize, oversee, and review a variety of task associated with home performance
  • Ensure that labor and materials are staged correctly
  • Document work with photos on job site
  • Record and summarize the job execution and report to the project manager
  • Plan, assign, and oversee the work performed and work to correct any deficiencies
  • Maintain an inventory count
  • Assist with maintaining and cleaning of a variety of equipment and tools
  • Ensure the proper materials are available and loaded each day
  • Ensure clean-up of the job site
  • Comprehend and follow written and oral instructions and manuals
  • Communicate professionally and politely with co-workers and customers
  • Responsible for keeping track of tools and supplies required for the day’s work 

Qualifications & Skills

  • A basic understanding of residential building and construction concepts
  • A background in home maintenance and home repairs
  • Knows how to use tools and how to properly care for equipment
  • Enjoys hands-on work
  • Motivated and responsible, able to adapt quickly
  • Works well in a team setting
  • Communicates well with the project manager, co-workers, and clients
  • Ability to oversee a team and place team goals ahead of personal ones
  • Able to drive a large van with a trailer and has valid driver’s license
