Position Overview

Ellsworth Community College is currently seeking a Conservation Technology Factulty Member.

Responsibilities 

  • Establishes a healthy classroom environment that is conducive to the advancement of student education.
  • Maintains accurate students records.
  • Assesses students' progress and development.
  • Promotes cultural understandings and assists in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere on campus.
  • Assists with recruitment and retention. Maintains a professional rapport with students and colleagues.
  • Teach courses in conservation technology/environmental science as well as general biology courses.

Qualifications

  • Must meet minimum experience and education requirements specified by Iowa Valley Community College District.
  • Approval to teach in the assigned area as defined by the Department of Education and the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
  • Masters in Biology, Conservation Science or related or Masters with 18 graduate credits in academic discipline for those teaching arts and sciences courses Relevant experience/study focused on conservation technology/environmental science required.
  • Experience teaching full time in a community college setting is preferred.
  • Must have good human relations and communications skills.

Compensation: Annual salary is based on a full fiscal year, which is pro-rated to start date and FTE according to faculty salary schedule
