Position Overview

Assist in planning and implementing site remediation programs, interpreting field and laboratory data, preparing technical reports. Conduct field investigations and collect environmental media samples. Work as a member of investigation and remediation teams under the supervision of a LSRP, professional geologist or asbestos inspector.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting investigations related to site remediation in NJ, NY and PA
  • Interpreting regulations and guidance documents
  • Supervising and documenting field studies
  • Collecting and managing environmental samples
  • Interpreting and manipulating field and laboratory data
  • Coordinating subcontractors
  • Interacting with state and federal regulators
  • Calibrating, operating and maintaining field equipment
  • Conducting aquifer testing
  • Preparing reports, maps, and annotated findings using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD and GIS
  • Working in various terrains and environments throughout the year

Qualifications

  • 2 to 5+ years of environmental consulting experience
  • BS in Geology, Earth Science or Environmental Science
  • OSHA 40 HAZWOPR training
  • OSHA 8-hour Supervisor training
  • Familiarity with NJ, NY and PA site remediation regulations, guidance documents and forms
  • Accredited Asbestos Inspector or Lead Inspector / Risk Assessor
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, AutoCAD and GIS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter and team player
  • NJDEP Subsurface Evaluator license
  • Moderate travel (typically 1 to 2 hours per day)
  • Occasional long distance travel and overnight stays
