Position Overview

The Environmental Planner will be responsible for the coordination and development of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documents for transportation and federal property investments and actions, as well as preparation of CEQR and SEQRA documents. The Environmental Planner should have . In addition to working on environmental projects, the Environmental Planner will also be responsible for assisting in proposal preparation and will be involved in pursuits and other business development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of CATEX, EIS, EA, and similar environmental review documentation
  • Attend and participate in public meetings and hearings
  • Lead or participate in the preparation of proposals or proposal sections that require NEPA compliance, including the development of both scope and budget
  • Assist clients with administration of NEPA processes

Qualifications

  • BS in Environmental Planning/Science or related field
  • 8+ years of NEPA compliance experience
  • Expert in NEPA; experience in CEQR/SEQRA
  • Experience with the development of NEPA documents for review by federal agencies, including at least one US Department of Transportation agency (FTA, FRA, FAA, FHWA), the US Army Corps of Engineers, and/or the National Park Service
  • Experience with public presentations and public hearings
