~ The Alliance for Clean Energy (ACE NY), a nonprofit organization based in Albany, NY, is a member-based nonprofit organization with a mission of promoting clean, renewable electricity technologies and energy efficiency in New York State, in order to increase energy diversity and security, boost economic development, improve public health and reduce air pollution. ~
We are a member-based advocacy organization, and our members include a variety of renewable energy and energy efficiency businesses, as well as public interest environmental organizations. ACE NY is the New York State affiliate of the American Wind Energy Association and the Advanced Energy Economy Institute.
Internship Overview
The Alliance for Clean Energy New York (ACE NY) is
seeking a Clean Energy Summer Fellow to assist in our work promoting renewable
energy and energy efficiency in New York.
The Fellow would be assisting ACE NY
staff in our participation in several ongoing proceedings at the New York State
Public Service Commission, including the Reforming the Energy Vision (“REV”)
proceeding and the Clean Energy Standard (CES) proceeding, in which New York is
designing the structure to achieve its 50% renewable energy by 2030 goal.
Responsibilities
- The
Clean Energy Fellow will conduct research and analysis of clean energy
policies; - Draft written comments on proposed clean energy policies;
- Monitor
activities related to clean energy in the New York State Legislature; - Assist in
updating the ACE NY website; and - Develop written outreach materials regarding
our clean energy policy goals.
Compensation: This is a paid position based in Albany, NY.
