In addition to direct system sales, EnSync Energy includes power purchase agreements (PPAs) in its portfolio of offerings, which enables electricity savings for customers and provides a stable financial yield for investors. EnSync Energy is a global corporation, with joint venture Meineng Energy in AnHui, China, and energy project development subsidiary Holu Energy in Hawaii.

Position Overview

To plan, execute and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes managing resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The Renewable Project Manager will also define the projects objectives and oversee the execution of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and manage projects from handover from sales department through to commissioning.
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Develop project plans and timelines to meet deliverables.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Liaise with customers, engineers, sales and production personnel on an ongoing basis.
  • Estimate the resources and support needed to achieve project goals.
  • Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Reviews contract to assess; risk and liabilities, scope, finance and logistics.
  • Responsible for financial budget of project including, basic revenue models, pricing models, forecasts revenue, cash flow, profitability, margins, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts with the project team.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables.
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, requirements documentation and presentations.
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
  • Conduct project post mortems and create recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
  • Minimizes company’s exposure and risk on project.

Qualifications

Education:

  • 5 Years in the Renewable Energy field and Project Management experience.

Systems Knowledge:

  • Good computer skills including Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, Project, data analysis and report writing.

Experience Required:

  • 5 years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.

Licenses:

  • Journeymen Electrician - Hawaii licensed.

Experience Preferred:

  • 5 -7 years’ experience in systems project management with an emphasis in power, power conversion renewable energy systems and products.

Knowledge Required:

  • Strong familiarity with project management techniques, tools and software such as Microsoft Project.
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
  • Electrical and Mechanical aptitude.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Direct work experience in project management capacity.
  • Direct work experience in project finance management.
  • Proven experience in change management.
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in personnel management.
  • Familiar with quality systems, ISO requirements and chemical and electrical safety.
  • Excellent oral and writtern communication skills.
  • Good data analysis & presentation skills.
  • Ability to work productively in a team centered environment.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities.
  • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients and other departments.
  • Ability to conduct daily and project related activities with minimal supervision.
  • Experience at working both independently and in a team orientated, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high pressure environment is crucial.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%.
  • Excellent team building skills.
  • Experience working with customers in both a commercial and technical capacity.
