With our Single Point of Contact approach Parterre assumes responsibility for all aspects of our clients' landscape. By leveraging our extensive horticultural knowledge with our network of highly skilled industry professionals we direct and synchronize all of our clients' needs in the landscape. This can include coordinating insect and disease control, irrigation, arbor care, lawn care, and property clean up as well as the services we perform directly.

Our initial work on a property is focused on understanding the design intent, our client's needs, and the specific requirements of the landscape. From this point we develop a Property Profile Plan that becomes our guide for managing a property over time. This plan contains every detail needed for the care and management of the property and it serves as a roadmap that Parterre and its clients can collectively develop to guide our stewardship of their property.

Position Overview

Parterre Garden Services, one of Greater Boston’s leading horticultural services and fine gardening companies is searching for eager individuals with a passion for gardening for our growing company. The successful Gardener at Parterre is interested in all aspects of horticulture from container design to the urban landscape, perennial garden maintenance and care, pest and disease identification, and promotion of sustainable practices in the green industry. At the core of Parterre are driven horticulturists, creative problem solvers, and conscientious managers who are dedicated to providing expert green industry services throughout Greater Boston.

As a Horticulturist at Parterre you will have the opportunity to consistently learn and hone your skills in the field while maintaining some of the most highly regarded landscapes in the area. Our gardeners create and maintain landscapes for clients who truly appreciate our craft and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance of woody, perennial and annual material
• Container/annual planting and maintenance
• Hand pruning of material up to 12’
• Mulching and composting
• Holiday Decorating

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Attention to detail and commitment to excellence
• Ability to work both independently and with a team
• Strong organizational skills
• 1 year experience in the green industry a plus
• Strong work ethic, demonstrable ability in prioritization
• Current MA driver’s license
• Use of own vehicle required
