Position overview

Quality Foods Distributing is seeking an Warehouse-Operations Lead to join our team.

If you are passionate about quality food, have experience in the food industry, are a motivated self-starter, possess a positive attitude with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, this is a great opportunity to join a fast growing Bozeman-based distributor specializing in natural, organic, specialty, local and regional food products.

Responsibilities

• Assists with receiving (date code, restacking, rotating) of product when needed.
• Maintain food safety standards.
• Ensure quality and consistency of product lines.
• Inventory control, inventory maintenance.
• Occasional delivery to customers and supplier pick-ups.
• Experience operating a fork lift or the ability to learn how to safely operate one.
• Support sales team with product knowledge and availability information as needed.
• Maintain necessary required supplier and customer documents.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a perishable products industry preferred.
• Preferably a knowledge of produce varieties, or overall equivalent experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and computer skills – Microsoft, Word, Excel.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude and ability to work well with all levels of staff.
• Problem analysis and problem solving; self-starter; attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
• Provide excellent customer service daily.
