Position Overview

The Renewable Energy project manager reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible to provide critical input and experience based leadership for renewable energy system designs, internal process improvement, project-specific permitting activities, site evaluation, procurement, scope documentation, stakeholder management and construction coordination. More specifically, he or she will leverage the following skill sets and competencies to support the company’s activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with project development including site evaluations, fatal flaw analyses, estimating, general project due diligence, etc.
  • Manage or assist in permitting of PV projects
  • Manage or assist in managing commercial solar and wind projects, from 50kW – 4MW
  • Project scheduling (critical path and milestone)
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors...closely collaborate with Aegis construction-site supervisors to provide timely and best-practice solutions to field challenges
  • Interface with and manage product / equipment vendors and project material procurement
  • Generate and organize ongoing project documents and consolidation of closeout documentation
  • Build on and improve existing project management, system design packages, project evaluation, and permitting processes
  • Perform research and analysis on renewable energy technology, best practices, trends, and design
  • Perform other project management duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant construction project management experience
  • Minimum of one year of experience in an energy generation field
  • B.A. / B.S. degree in a relevant field of study desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Exceptional organization skills
  • Experience with engineering design packages and reading schematics
  • Ability to rapidly integrate new concepts, standards, and processes into the company toolbox
  • A desire to work on projects related to alternative energy, and community sustainability
  • Self-motivated with proven ability to perform at a high level with limited direct oversight and management
  • A desire to learn and a commitment to communicating your limitations
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated success at building team relationships focused on mutual respect and a positive attitude
  • Operates from an understanding and demonstration of emotional intelligence
  • Understanding of the importance of standard operating procedures, safety, respect, and integrity
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer communication and service

Compensation: Base Pay and Benefit package is market competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
