Wildlife Biologist or Botanist

Position Overview

Aspen Environmental Group is seeking a Biologist in its southern California office (Agoura Hills).

Qualifications

• The position requires a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred) and relevant experience with California and southwestern ecosystems.
• Candidate must be able to identify common plant and wildlife species of southern California, have knowledge of sensitive biological resources, and familiarity with NEPA and CEQA.
• Knowledge of natural resource management, conservation biology, and regulatory permitting is also desirable.
• This position requires a combination of field and office tasks including surveys, report writing, and monitoring. 
• As this position will involve field work to remote areas, the applicant must be able to travel and work long hours in rugged terrain during inclement weather.
• The successful candidate must also have good writing and communication skills, and possess the ability to work well with other professionals on multi-disciplinary teams.
