~ Since 1997, North Wind has provided environmental services to federal, state, and local agencies, tribes, and private industry. ~

The projects range from small site assessments to large-scale remediation projects, and support a wide variety of customers, including the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Idaho Department of Environmental Quality (IDEQ), and the Coeur d’Alene Trust. North Wind has developed a reputation for successfully completing projects in remote areas with extreme weather and geographic challenges.

Position Overview

North Wind Portage is seeking an Environmental Compliance Specialist to provide the environmental point of contact responsibility to the Radioactive Waste Management Complex (RWMC) Operations in areas of waste storage, RCRA-permitted facilities, Air Permitting and NESHAPs compliance, day-to-day compliance support, and USTs.

Responsibilities

  • The Environmental Compliance Specialist will develop and compile information for compliance reports, weekly inspection form reviews, and support other areas of the company in technical review of all environmental regulations such as air, water, RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, etc.
  • Additionally, the Environmental Compliance Specialist will prepare environmental checklists, permit implementation plans, and review work planning documentation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in related field and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • OSHA HAZWOPER.
  • RadWorker II.
