Position Overview

Our Renewable Energy Business is seeking an experienced Inside Sales Representative to join our team of High-Performance Sales Professionals. The Inside Sales Representative will work directly with the Outside Sales Team to ensure that our software and services subscription business maintains a 90% or greater renewal rate. This person will also be responsible for growing our business within our current customer base.

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for processing inquiries promptly and efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This person must be skilled to search for ways to automate the process of our renewal business to ensure efficiency and high customer satiation. In the future, this position might include a personal sales target with a list of assigned Accounts.

The Inside Sales Representative will aid in managing the entire sales administration process. They will collaborate with various professionals, so it’s essential that they have excellent communication skills and feel comfortable working in a fast pace team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Works directly with the Outside Sales Team to proactively manage our software and services renewal business
  • Works directly with the Sales Coordinators to actively process new orders including updating Customers along the way
  • Answer phones & inbound lead inquiries and drives new business by leveraging our relationships with current customers
  • Work well within a highly results focused and customer drive team
  • Capture all customer interaction and information in Salesforce.com
  • Proficient at managing an extensive database of prospects, numerous concurrent opportunities, and all the associated task required to directly or indirectly advance the sales process and keep team members informed
  • Nurturing and re-engaging prospective customers Serving customers dedicated to you by responding to customer inquiries and providing their clients with quotations and information on Vaisala offering.
  • Provide quote assistance to sales managers on our team
  • Qualifying leads and distributing them to the appropriate sales managers or taking less strategic customers directly
  • Receiving purchase orders, checking their terms in cooperation with a sales manager, performing sales order entry

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as an Inside sales manager
  • In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
  • Excellent interpersonal & team management skills and strong analytical & organizational skills
  • BA or BS Degree with 3+ years sales or customer service experience required, familiarity with practices and basic business principles of international trade preferred
  • Working experience in the renewable energy or utility industry preferred
  • Fluency in English required, knowledge of Spanish is a plus
  • Hands on experience with CRM software and experience with Microsoft Office software programs (Word, Excel, Power-Point, Outlook) and Oracle
  • Self-motivated, flexible and well-organized team player, with a positive attitude towards customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with high attention to detail and excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • Willingness/ability to build his/her technical competence by learning our offering more extensively and willingness/ability to expand his/her financial skills to better understand the economic implications of your work
