Environmental Engineer

Position Overview

The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the environmental program and policies at Nucor Steel Connecticut. The Environmental Engineer will work with all teams to assist in the development, growth, and improvement of the Environmental Program.

This position will be responsible for the coordination of compliance with air and water permits, licenses, rules, regulations, and programs. Additional duties include taking a lead role in plant-wide environmental project management, training, audits, and community outreach. Moderate travel is expected. This position reports directly to the General Manager

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must have a four-year degree in Engineering or Environmental Science and experience with environmental compliance to include industrial data collection and report preparation.

Preferences:

• Experience in water treatment operations and managing industrial environmental programs preferred.
• Experience developing and managing Environmental programs.
