Position Overview

Nexamp is seeking an experienced, solar photovoltaic (PV) operations and maintenance (O&M) professional to manage Nexamp’s growing portfolio of PV infrastructure. Duties and responsibilities include subcontractor coordination, project management, drafting maintenance reports, tracking cases and mitigating under performance as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of arrays, vegetation, site conditions, security systems, etc.
  • Coordinates existing and onboards new subcontractors in various markets across the US.
  • Interacts with contractors, electricians, designers and project managers daily.
  • Serves as a project manager for special projects as required.
  • Maintains customer and partner relationships and enforces jobsite health and safety programs.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player.
  • Posseses high level of understanding and technical expertise in all means and methods relating to solar plant commissioning, operations and troubleshooting.
  • Fully understands principles of the application, design, installation and safe operation of grid-tied, utility scale PV and ancillary electrical systems.
  • Maintains thorough understanding of Company, vendor, partner and subcontractor capabilities.
  • Sustains knowledge of emerging technologies and their field applications.
  • Highly developed general construction, electrical and PV related troubleshooting skills and expertise.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills and contemporary office skills including use of computers, Microsoft Office, data acquisition systems, and remote computing.
  • Thorough understanding of PV principles, AC and DC electrical characteristics.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications plans and procure materials and equipment as required.
  • 5-10 years of experience or equivalent of experience + education + internship.
  • Driver’s License in good standing required.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • NABCEP Certified PV Installation Professional preferred.
  • Requires annual overnight travel of < 5%.
