Position Overview

The Sr. Director, Energy Storage will play a crucial role in Strata Solar’s strategic initiatives around Energy Storage. The Sr. Director will be the expert in energy storage project development, and will lead in the development of this new and exciting business model for the company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a business model for energy storage to include stand alone and combined with PV for all market segments across the Strata Solar operating model.
  • Build and own a development pipeline for standalone energy storage model.
  • Build and own a development pipeline for solar + storage model.
  • Eventually build and grow a team focused on energy storage project development.
  • Oversee the integration of energy storage into the existing Strata Solar development pipeline.
  • Establish and carry out departmental or organizational goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Direct and oversee department's financial and budgetary activities.
  • Consult with other executives and staff on how to integrate energy storage across all segments of the value chain (e.g., EPC business, O&M business).
  • Could eventually have responsibility for a team size of up to 4 employees.

Qualifications

  • 7 - 10 years in leadership roles leading and executing strategic initiatives.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in energy storage project development.
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Financial literacy (familiarity with P&L, B/S, cash flows, development assets).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business-related or technical field required. Advanced degree, such as an MBA preferred.
  • Willingness to travel at least 40% of the time.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues and activities and work across multiple time zones.
