Position Overview

ENERCON is currently seeking an Environmental Specialist to join the team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will have the opportunity to focus on environmental advisory services, including evaluating, planning, organizing, and summarizing environmental consulting projects conducted by other firms throughout the U.S. and its territories. This position involves minimal travel (~5%) and is heavily focused on written communication.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze environmental reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ASTM, local, state, and federal regulations/standards
  • Formulate independent conclusions regarding the presence of environmental conditions
  • Submit applications for reimbursement associated with site investigation and remediation activities
  • Prepare written communications summarizing environmental findings and recommendations
  • Prepare scopes of work for advanced-phase site assessments and remediation activities in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Prepare recurring reports updating the statuses of multiple projects
  • Budget tracking and reporting

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or related science
  • 4-6 years of environmental consulting experience, including any of the following: environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, remediation, asbestos sampling, air monitoring, LPST projects, or NEPA projects
  • Ability to complete multiple projects concurrently with varying scopes of work within short timeframes
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Problem-solving and general scientific evaluation skills using laboratory data and field observations
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment, federal background check, and a credit check
  • Maintain confidentiality related to property and client-sensitive information.
  • Must pass a pre-employment and random drug tests
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office Suite. Database management and SQL programming skills are a plus
  • Additional consideration will be given with any of the following certifications: EIT, GIT, licensed asbestos inspector, 40-Hour HAZWOPER, wetlands delineation training
