Position Overview

TSTC Waco is currently seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Solar Energy Adjunct Instructor. An Instructor conducts activities which directly support instruction, the objectives of the program, and the instructional goals of the institute. An instructor reports to the program chairman or his designee. If you enjoy teaching and helping others reach their true potential we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Teach students basic to advance level electrical objectives.
  • Develop lesson plans based from course objectives.
  • Grade and assess students of practical experience and based from post and pre training.
  • Instruction in an electrical construction science environment class and labs.
  • Organize and present prepared instructional materials at scheduled times and places.

  • Maintain communications with students and colleagues to assure efficient and effective instruction.
  • Maintain records of student attendance, student progress, departmental supplies, departmental equipment, and others.
  • Maintain discipline and order during instructional activities.

Qualifications

  • Qualified applicants will possess a high level of technical skills in their field of study, have a clear consistent standard for managing student performance, and must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code, electrical construction, and the proper use of tools used in the electrical industry is required.

Compensation: Hourly Salary is $31.82.
