~ The Wolverine Outdoor Education Center has been operating for over 35 years providing an enriching experience for students of all age groups. ~

Our residential outdoor education program promotes team-building and cooperative initiatives wrapped around courses in natural history, biology, living history, Native American life, survival skills, pond study, forest ecology, low and high ropes courses, climbing tower and much more. Position Overview

  • Wolverine Camps is located in northern Michigan, on 300+ acres, surrounded by thousands of acres of state land.
  • Position dates: Jan 4 - March 16, 2018.

Qualifications

  • We are looking for committed, energetic, team minded educators who are experienced in the outdoor / environmental / experiential education fields.
  • Instructors need to have good organizational, interpersonal, and facilitation skills, as well as a willingness to work with youth aged 5th thru 8th grades.
  • Enthusiasm, sense of humor, patience, self-discipline, leading groups in songs, stories and skits are a must.
  • Degree in at least one of the related fields of natural resources, outdoor, environmental, experiential education preferred and / or those whose education is in progress or those without degrees but have prior experience in the field.

Compensation: $325 per week depending on experience. Room and board provided.
