Prism Solar Technologies to Present at 2009 European Energy Venture Fair, Zurich, September 21-22
Highland, NY, Sept 17, 2009 - Prism Solar Technologies, Inc., a manufacturer of a unique holographic solar technology for solar-electric modules, today announced that Tom Kacandes, Director of Operations, will speak at the 2009 European Energy Venture Fair at the Swiss Re Center for Global Dialogue in Zurich, Switzerland on September 22 at 11am. "The Energy Venture Fair will hopefully result in successful partnerships for Prism Solar," says Kacandes, "which is especially important as Prism Solar gears up to begin manufacturing holographic modules and film technology."
The European Energy Venture Fair in 2008 was an enormous success with over 140 venture capital investment professionals from more than 80 funds participating. The goals of the event are to strengthen relationships, learn more about new technologies, hear from experts and meet up-and-coming companies looking for investors.
ABOUT Prism Solar Technologies, Inc. - Prism Solar Technologies, Inc. will manufacture holographic planar concentrator PV modules (HPC) that incorporate a novel, proprietary holographic optical film technology to achieve remarkably low module manufacturing costs. Holographic films are designed to spectrally select photons from additional, cool wavelengths of light and concentrate them onto solar cells. Specific advantages of HPC include up to a 70% reduction in the use of expensive silicon and the production of 20-40% more kWh per rated Wp compared to traditional modules.
