FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Prism Solar Technologies to Present at Cleantech Forum XXIII in Boston, MA, September 8-10
Highland, NY, Sept 2, 2009 - Prism Solar Technologies, Inc., a manufacturer of a unique holographic solar technology for solar-electric modules, today announced that Rick Lewandowski, President and CEO, will speak at Cleantech Forum XXIII, which will be held in Boston September 8-10.
The Forum will have a strong focus on governmental programs given that worldwide governments have pledged billions of investment capital to clean technologies and will assemble CEOs, investors, scientists, policy-makers and other industry pioneers to drive demand and open cleantech markets.
"The Cleantech Forum is an invaluable opportunity to showcase Prism's advanced holographic solar technology and to gain access to pioneering capital and industry partners, innovators and investors," says Lewandowski.
The global financial crisis has only spurred greater interest in the clean technology sector and the Forum. "The first cleantech investment boom (2001-2008) was driven by rapid growth and experimentation. A second cleantech investment boom is being driven by a new emphasis on capital efficiency and engaging governments-which, combined, are now the single largest investor in cleantech," says Dallas Kachan, Managing Director, Cleantech Group LLC.
Attendance at previous Cleantech Forums has led to highly successful partnerships and Prism Solar Technologies, Inc. was voted "Most Promising Technology" by over 400 investors at the Cleantech XIV held in 2007 in Toronto, Canada.
About Prism Solar Technologies, Inc. - Prism Solar Technologies, Inc. will manufacture holographic planar concentrator PV modules (HPC) that incorporate a novel, proprietary holographic optical film technology to achieve remarkably low module manufacturing costs. Holographic films are designed to spectrally select photons from additional, cool wavelengths of light and concentrate them onto solar cells. Specific advantages of HPC include up to a 70% reduction in the use of expensive silicon and the production of 20-40% more kWh per rated Wp compared to traditional modules. The primary business focus will be to sell the films to module manufacturers, but Prism will also produce a limited number of modules for domestic markets. HPC technology can be used with any PV cell technology for residential, commercial, and utility applications. Prism's management team has extensive experience in designing, fabricating and selling PV products and systems and has secured $15MM to date. More info at http://www.prismsolar.com/.
