ABOUT Prism Solar Technologies, Inc. - Prism Solar Technologies, Inc. will manufacture holographic planar concentrator PV modules (HPC) that incorporate a novel, proprietary holographic optical film technology to achieve remarkably low module manufacturing costs. Holographic films are designed to spectrally select photons from additional, cool wavelengths of light and concentrate them onto solar cells. Specific advantages of HPC include up to a 70% reduction in the use of expensive silicon and the production of 20-40% more kWh per rated Wp compared to traditional modules. The primary business focus will be to sell the films to module manufacturers, but Prism will also produce a limited number of modules for domestic markets. HPC technology can be used with any PV cell technology for residential, commercial, and utility applications. Prism's management team has extensive experience in designing, fabricating and selling PV products and systems and has secured $15MM to date. More info at http://www.prismsolar.com/.
