Ft. Lauderdale Residents Earn $1,000 Rebates

Carbon Solutions America (CSA), headquartered in Deerfield Beach, Florida created an energy efficiency framework for the city of Fort Lauderdale called Smart Watts.
Smart Watts includes an energy efficiency rebate program where residents may qualify for up to a $1,000 in cash rebates for energy efficient improvements. CSA's program is aimed at improving energy efficiency, protecting the environment and lowering monthly energy bills.
Rebates will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis for the purchase and installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC), solar or gas on-demand water heaters, solar panels, Energy Star windows or doors and insulation. The program provides a 50% match of up to $1,000.
CSA has been hired as the City's Energy Manager and is assisting the City in setting up the next stage of the Smart Watts program which includes a revolving loan fund and a home energy savers program. Both initiatives will educate and provide incentives to the residents of Fort Lauderdale to conserve energy.
