News from: Hydrogen Builders Conference

Nonprofit Hydrogen Group Links Devices, Microinvestors

BRADENTON, Fla., Jan. 27, 2010 -- A non-profit educational group devoted to replacing many household fossil-fuel devices with clean-burning and plentiful hydrogen-on-demand systems will offer a range of applications at a free all-day conference Sat., Jan. 30, at the first-floor conference facility of the Sarasota Herald Tribune, 1741 Main Street, from 9 AM to 5 PM. Refreshments will be served.

Researchers, science collaborators and microinvestors are invited to learn about the low-cost, low-tech devices. There is no admission charge.

Among the types of devices will be home- and restaurant-grade stoves that greatly reduce fire risk, home heating units that can save thousands of dollars a year over conventional heaters, diesel and gasoline fuel supplements that produce emission-free driving, and a 10,000-degree toxic waste incinerator whose 6-inch column of flame (demonstrated on video) produces radiant heat only at the tip. A hydrogenated water device approved by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration is widely used in Japan for both drinking and cleaning, including treatment of infections in hosptials will also be discussed.

While some of these devices were produced in Taiwan by Epoch Energy, organizer of the Hydrogen Builder Conference hope to stimulate U.S. adoption and manufacturing of hydrogen-based application that can result in millions of new jobs over the next 40, years, when Dept. of Energy officials say America will shift away from petroleum completely and use hydrogen almost exclusively as fuel. The appeal of hydrogen is that is easy to produce, cheap to apply to current fossil-fuel products and and produces only clean water as an emission.

One highlight of the conference will the unveiling in Dublin, Ireland at 11 AM EST Saturday of an "over unity" device developed by Steorn, Inc. The Irish engineering company says the magnet-driven device will offer a cheap source of power. Two years ago, the same company failed to get the device to work, but they have vowed to offer proof at Saturday's demonstration, which will be streamed live at the conference.
