Prism Solar Technologies to Present at Dow Jones Alternative Energy Innovations, Redwood City, CA

Highland, NY, Nov 10, 2009 - Prism Solar Technologies, Inc., a manufacturer of a unique holographic solar technology for solar-electric modules, today announced that Rick Lewandowski, President and CEO, will speak at the Dow Jones Alternative Energy Innovations conference. Speaking times are 2:30 and again at 3:30 on Tuesday, November 17. "This will be an exciting and important opportunity to showcase the major milestones achieved in the past year, particularly as Prism Solar has begun pilot production" says Rick Lewandowski.

Several hundred start-ups were rated on a host of internal criteria before inviting those demonstrating true business momentum, including Prism Solar.

Dow Jones organized this conference to help investors, entrepreneurs, and corporate executives find profit in the alternative energy sector. In the third quarter of 2009 alone, venture capitalists invested almost $1 billion in U.S.-based cleantech companies, according to Dow Jones VentureSource. This is no surprise given the ongoing need to reduce reliance on foreign oil and overall energy usage. The fact that Washington is focusing on the area has only added to the interest by investors. But the key question for investors - especially in the current economic environment - is what is the best way to tackle the sector? The conference will kickoff with a panel of active investors discussing how they are looking at the sector.

ABOUT Prism Solar Technologies, Inc. - Prism Solar Technologies, Inc. will manufacture holographic planar concentrator PV modules (HPC) that incorporate a novel, proprietary holographic optical film technology to achieve remarkably low module manufacturing costs. Holographic films are designed to spectrally select photons from additional, cool wavelengths of light and concentrate them onto solar cells. Specific advantages of HPC include the production of 20-40% more kWh per rated Wp at half the cost of traditional modules. The primary business focus will be to sell HPC film to module manufacturers, but Prism will also produce a limited number of modules for domestic markets. HPC technology can be used with any PV cell technology for residential, commercial, and utility applications. Prism's management team has extensive experience in designing, fabricating and selling PV products and systems and has secured $16.5MM to date. More info at http://www.prismsolar.com/.
