Bloom Box Previewed on 60 Minutes

60 Minutes featured Bloom Energy, a company that has invested millions of dollars and nearly a decade developing fuel cells for distributed power generation.

The company has been secretive about its product and business plans, but intends to officially unveil its Bloom Box on Wednesday. Companies like Ebay, Google, and FedEx have already installed the device, which costs between $700,000 and $800,000 and catalyzes hydrocarbons such as methane at super high temperatures.
