SunEdison Acquires European Solar Integrator

SunEdison, one of the largest U.S. solar services companies, has acquired Business Institute Solar Strategy GmbH (BISS), gaining 38 megawatts (MW) of solar photovoltaic projects under development in Italy and Spain and direct access to 300 MW of project opportunities in Europe.

Terms of the deal and projects were not disclosed.

BISS has offices in Hamburg, Germany and Brescia, Italy and was founded in 2007.

SunEdison has more than 68 MW of solar under management globally, with 9 MW of PV systems in Spain.

“The BISS acquisition, which provides SunEdison direct access to 300 MW of project opportunities, accelerates our European expansion,” Carlos Domenech, COO and CFO  of SunEdison, said.
