How Will U.S. Consumers React to Temporary Drop in Gas Prices?

SustainableBusiness.com News

The U.S. can't afford to be lulled by a temporary drop in the price of gasoline, according to Thomas L. Friedman, best-selling author of The World Is Flat.

In his most recent New York Times column, Friedman writes, "This moment feels to me like a bad B-movie rerun of the 1980s. And I know how this movie ends--with our re-addiction to oil and OPEC, as well as corrosive uncertainty for our economy, trade balance, security and environment."

He goes on to state that the nation cannot afford a financial bailout plan that does not also incldue a green buildup.
