How does the current credit crisis affect renewable energy companies? In the short term, these younger companies that are drawing on the resources of venture capital will continue to receive funding. 

But in the long term, as they transition into their revenue-producing business plans, they will have to demonstrate larger margins to convince lenders to back new projects, according to Todd Woody in a Fortune report.
