Blue Sun Biodiesel has been ranked 242 in Inc. magazine's "Inc. 500" list of fastest growing, privately-held companies and is the fastest growing biodiesel fuel company in the country, according to the list. The company was ranked 10th in growth for the energy industry.
Colorado-based Blue Sun Biodiesel markets B20 biodiesel fuel, for which sales grew 1078% over the preceding 3-year period.

To be eligible for the 2008 Inc. 500 list, companies had to be U.S.-based, privately held, and not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies. They must have been founded and generating revenue by the first week of 2004 through the end of the 2007 calendar year and therefore able to show four full calendar years of sales.
How significant is it to be in the Inc. 500? In past years, this distinguished group has included Microsoft, Power Bar, Papa John's and other now household names.
