Siemens Signs MOU For Offshore Wind Farm

Siemens Power Transmission & Distribution has signed an MOU with Vancouver, British Columbia-based renewable energy developer NaiKun Wind Development Inc., a renewable energy project developer, on an offshore wind farm.
The MOU is to complete a commercial agreement regarding Siemen's construction and operation of the transmission system for the first 320 MW of a proposed offshore wind farm in the Hecate Strait.
Under the terms of the MOU, NaiKun and Siemens will collaborate on the necessary studies, analyses and commercial development aspects required to deliver the optimal power transmission structure for the wind farm project. Upon the successful completion of the commercial agreement, Siemens would become the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) partner for NaiKun's electrical infrastructure system.
