Wind and Solar Data Analyst

Position Overview:

The Wind and Solar Data Analyst will perform wind and solar data processing, long term wind speed and irradiance estimates, manage databases, and provide climatic conditions for suitability.

Responsibilities:

• Quality Control of resource assessment stations' data
• Long Term Estimates of renewable energy resources
• Climatic Conditions Summaries for construction design
• Report writing for internal and external clients
• Follow procedures and instructions in place
• Write ad hoc programs/applications to facilitate data analysis
• Heavy usage of Excel

Qualifications:

• Strong Statistics (Correlation, Regression Analysis, Time Series Analysis) and Data Analysis background
• Strong Matlab, SQL, R, C++ or C# programming skills
• Strong Excel skills
• Detail oriented in all aspects of the position
• Ability to focus for extended periods of time
• Ability to organize and prioritize work
• Accountability

Education:

• B.S. degree level education in an engineering discipline, with a MS degree preferred
• An overall GPA of at least 3.0
