Position Overview:
Kleinfelder's Mid-Atlantic region is seeking a Team Leader for Wetlands and Ecology to join our Canton OH or Cranberry Township (Pittsburgh), PA offices.
Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will lead a team of professionals that conduct field assessments and prepare associated permits for Wetland and Ecological projects in the natural resources sector, as part of our exciting Oil & Gas Industry portfolio.
The Cranberry and Canton offices offer a wide range of challenging project work and a great opportunity to develop professionally.
Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities will include proposal preparation, technical oversight, delivery, resourcing, and management of quality and risk.
- This position is a leadership role, requiring the ability to guide and develop staff, and will work closely with the local and regional management.
Qualifications:
- As a senior technical resource and role model, this leadership position requires an excellent attitude and an ability to communicate effectively with clients, regulators, junior staff and multidiscipline project teams.
- Strong technical and client management skills are required.
- Also, financial/business management background experience is expected.
- The candidate MUST have experience in wetland delineations, functional assessments, mitigation and habitat assessments, in addition to excellent botanical and wildlife identification, soils characterization, permit preparation and GPS technology.
- A BS in an Environmental, Biological or Ecological Science (MS is preferred) and 12-15 years of experience as a natural resources professional is required.
- This position provides a great opportunity for qualified professionals who are self-starters, energetic and enthusiastic leaders, and who like diversified project types.
- The candidate should possess a pro-active, problem solving attitude with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to multi-task effectively.
- The candidate shall also have an in-depth knowledge of local conditions and regulations, and the ability to provide high-end technical support on complex projects.
- The selected candidate will work with an outstanding group of professionals in both collecting field data and preparing permits, and will see projects through to construction.
- Some travel to project sites and other Kleinfelder offices is required.
