Senior Process Engineer, Water Separation Technology

Calera Corporation is dedicated to reversing global warming by capturing and storing greenhouse gases in the built environment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the design and integration of water treatment systems into a novel industrial process.
- Develop capital cost and operating cost models to determine the best equipment and mode of operation for different unit processes.
- Developing a salt recovery plan from high TDS water sources.
- Oversee the operation of water filtration units at pilot and demonstration scale.
- Coordinate with the process technology and process engineering team in the development of process flow diagrams.
- Responsible for writing sections of grant applications with respect to water treatment and processing.
- Advance concept evaluations.
Qualifications:
Scope:
Previous experience in the process design of water systems including ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, reverse osmosis and desalination is required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years experience directly in water systems design.
- Strong knowledge in ROSA, Winflows, Toray, IMSdesign or equivalent.
- Lead the design and construction of large scale water treatment systems.
- MF/UF & NF/RO plant fundamentals and components.
- Detailed working knowledge on advanced membrane separation.
- Divalent/monovalent water separation expertise.
