2008 CityRoots Photo Journal now available!

UEI is excited to introduce the 2008 CityRoots Photo Journal, highlighting the hard work of over 180 dedicated community volunteers belonging to 11 neighborhood ecological restoration projects across the Boston area.

Over the course of the summer, 78 trees and close to 200 shrubs and perennials were proudly added to the Boston landscape, contributing to UEI's mission of building healthy, vibrant cities.

Congratulations to all our participants - 2008 was the most successful year in CityRoots history! See you in 2009!

 

Building Healthy, Vibrant Cities...

Founded in Boston, MA in 1998, the Urban Ecology Institute (UEI) aims to promote the health of urban ecosystems through research, education, advocacy, and community action. UEI helps urban communities build healthy and vibrant cities by educating students and other residents about their neighborhood environments, connecting them to each other, and engaging them in the transformation of their communities into healthy places where people want to live.
