Average consumption of feed : 5 kg's
Cost of food grains per KG : $0.30
Vet and labor charges : $0.80
Average weight at maturity : 3 - 3.5 kg's
Total cost for a chick : 0.92+( 0.30 x 5 )+0.80 = $3.22

Cows: national animal of Nepal. The most preferred breed of a cow is the Holstein. A Holstein cow normally produces 35 - 45 liters of milk daily. The market price of milk per liter is $0.45. They help in daily earnings as they are quick cash business. They also help in making and selling curds, ghee and other dairy products.
Fish: are in high demand in Nepal.
Pigs: easy to grow and feed. The main reason for pig is that the pig manure is the best feed for the fish. That saves a lot in the fish feed. A couple of pig cost $50. Pigs at the time of maturity weighs about 130 KG's. The market price per KG is $4.80. They are good for fish feed and a nice return on investment.
Organic Vegetable Farm: Organic vegetables are preferred by locally over chemically fertilized ones. The reason to take up vegetables is that every day tons and tons of vegetables are imported from India to meet market demand.
