As companies embrace a move toward sustainability, culture becomes a core asset or liability.

Becoming sustainable is not a spectator sport, all members of the organization need to be engaged. The creativity, innovation, experimentation and dedication needed to achieve the cost savings inherent in reduced resource use are only the tip of the iceburg. To achieve the deeper and more profound benefits gained from mimicking nature takes transformational leadership skills.

Culture is developed by leaders, conscious of it or not, so our leadership and culture assessment helps provide leaders with a road map as well as a deeper understanding of how to achieve a culture that is both rewarding and effective.

Hiring is another aspect of culture creation that can be misunderstood or ignored. Hiring for 'fit' may work for the immediate supervisor, but not the culture needs and not paying attention to or understanding the deeper aspects of culture alignment can be an expensive mistake.

The best time to be strategic about culture is before you hire the first person. Working with entrepreneurs we can facilitate the creation of a clear understanding of culture needs and a plan to get there.
