Puma Farms LLC. is an intensive Aquaculture grower and further processor of premium quality fish - this should not be confused with a "fish farm" our fish are not subjected to polluted water , contaminated feed, predators, PCBs or heavy metals.

Puma Farms fish are treated to computer controlled temperatures, water conditions, and high quality feed in order to produce the very best quality fish for the institutional market here and over seas. Our proprietary tank technology also has great promise to provide sustainable protein for developing countries.

Using a recirculation system, Puma Farms makes the most out of water conservation, wind and solar for power.

Beyond the fish growing and processing, Puma Farms will contract pack for other area growers and sell the offal for additional revenue streams.

You are in no doubt aware of the problems with adulterated fish from China and the limits imposed on various wild catches world wide.

An advantage with Puma Farms is that while the facility is static the crop can be veritable, important as flexibility is key both for security and profitability. Additionally we can grow year- round - adverse weather is not an issue. Escape into the wild environment, which results in great environmental and economic cost is not possible under our program.

Fish farming is the fastest growing segment of the food industry. The health benefits of fish are well known and quality fish are highly sought out by chefs for its versatility and flavor range. The feed is an important aspect in the growing process, while fish convert readily they are what they eat and if they are fed as is most often the case "fishmeal" any PCBs, heavy metals, or pollutants are passed on to the crop.

Puma Farms will not use fishmeal. Puma Farms will actively pursue the export of our crop and our technology to developing countries. Management is well versed in both retail and foodservice having worked as National Sales Manager for super premium retail, Export Manager, Food Service Manager, sausage maker in Europe and as a destination restaurant owner and cook.

The location we have chosen is in Arkansas for its water quality, climate and access to the premier fish program at the University of Arkansas.
