We aim to merge innovative conservation programs, eco-tourism, and empowerment of communities in developing countries:
Our conservation programs will be designed to be comprehensive and long lasting. In addition to expert biologists, Planet will engage in a program of expertise novel to conservation – our projects will include sociologists, anthropologists, economists, legal experts, hydrologists, physicians – the list will be tuned to each locality. Together, we will design sustainable programs to benefit all.
Our eco-tourism programs will be exclusive and highly informative. Our participants will be introduced to carefully chosen and beautiful habitats, many of which will be under current threat. We trust all will engage with our conservation programs, and in the future will volunteer to lend expertise to enhance the value of Planet projects. In addition to pictures and memories, our participants will carry with them a sense of involvement and pride to be part of our vision.
Our community programs will enhance the standing of currently disenfranchised people living at the edge of poverty while being custodians of incomparable tracts of nature. We will ensure, with our projects, that such people can make informed decisions about their legal rights, sustainable use of their land, and alternate sources of income. Planet will also identify arrangements for provision of clean water, medical care, and wellness programs.
Planet aims to be comprehensive, and as such our programs will require considerable financial support. Over time our participant initiatives, multinational donors, foundations, and individuals will support each project. Our inception will require considerable funding, but good ideas cannot be kept down.
