CB Richard Ellis Panama

Thousands of turtles visit the island throughout the year and in the high season from August to November the arrival of thousands of turtles all at the same time can be seen.  National Geographic Channel has done reports on these events, and many people from different parts of the world come just to watch the turtles lay their eggs and later on to stay with them during birth.

The land has the uniqueness of being able to provide two environments - the ocean and the estuary - all in one place.  It is ideal for an ecotourism, spa or resort project as it allows offering tourist and sport activities for all tastes, conserving nature.

The estuary - where the river is met by and mixes with the sea - forms an impressive ecosystem where you will find a large number of mangroves that are a tourist and scientific attraction.  Additionally, the waters of the estuary can be used for sports such as fishing, kayaking, sailing, diving, ecotourism trips and much more.

Isla Cañas is far away from the stress of the cities, contaminated environments and noise.........and just 15 minutes from the mainland. The shades of blue and green that are found on the island are relaxing.  The safety for bathing at the beach is impressive.  The fauna and ecotourism are the future of this island.
